THE INFECTIOus diseases CLINIC - UKC LJUBLJANA

open competition

Critical rethinking of the competition brief towards higher performance, environmental and economic long lasting healing environments.

Instead of an "extension to an extension", we propose an integrated solution for the Infectious Diseases Clinic already in Phase 1

Why is an extension to an extension an inefficient approach to building an optimal infectious diseases clinic? Investing in a temporary partial renovation of the existing Annex 8, which is earmarked for demolition in the short term, is neither a financially rational nor a sustainable solution. Annex 8 is a functional compromise that does not meet modern technical standards, while at the same time occupying space for a modern fully functioning infectious diseases clinic. By relocating the individual functional units strategically, we want to ensure that a fully functional and complete infectious diseases clinic can be built in the first phase.
