Eco-collectivity defines a systematic approach where a set of elements and parameters allows for diverse possible transformations as response to the physical and social context. A systematic organisation consists of a generic grid and basic unit. The basic unit is developed as a hexagonal cluster with 6 elements, which can be reduced in order to open up and achieve a relation with another cluster and/or open space. The grid defines a maximum possible infrastructure network, which is further minimized. Parametric response of the system to the several levels of the context:

– loosening the edge density towards the cemetery in the north and towards the allotment gardens in the south.
– embedding the axial position of the existing building structure
– opening the wall to the hidden garden
– exploiting the existing green qualities of the site (large green spaces + large trees)- adapting the spatial structure to the small volumes of allotment gardens with small scale add-ons- top houses with the roof garden. One or several basic units
– clusters form a living island
– a micro neighbourhood with a clearly allocated open space and unique identity on several levels.
